Webinar Examines the Anesthesia Chief’s Career Journey

The webinar, moderated by Paul Martin, MD, founder and president of GasWork.com, featured two anesthesia chiefs at hospitals in New York and Washington. Dr. Robert Karpinos, Chief of Anesthesiology at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY and Dr. Frank Schramm, Chief of Anesthesiology at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington discussed their careers journey’s that lead them to become chiefs today.
The doctors also discussed the qualities needed to succeed in their respective roles and the responsibilities it entails, including, career lessons, what they believe to be qualities of a good leader, and advice to those who want to become a chief.
