Ambulatory Surgery Centers

We provide reliable coverage and the right clinical skills surgery centers need to run smoothly and efficiently. Our customized anesthesia solutions are flexible, scaling up or down to accommodate different volumes and case types.

We assume the responsibility of recruiting and credentialing board-certified and/or board-eligible anesthesia clinicians, eliminating the unnecessary expense of hiring additional HR personnel.

Surgery centers rely on us to keep their facilities in a constant state of survey readiness and compliance. They also know we stay on top of the market developments and changes in payer trends and government regulations that will impact their clinical and fiscal performance.

Recruiting & Credentialing

Our national network of anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists continues to grow. Using robust credentialing and provider management software allows us to quickly vet candidates’ current licensure, training, experience, and competence.

Scheduling

Our Web-based scheduling tool efficiently manages daily, backup and vacation staffing so cancellations are held to a minimum.

Payer Contracting

We work with more than 150 payers across the country, and that list is growing. Working closely with insurers, we’ve also developed innovative pay-for-performance agreements.

Revenue Cycle Management

Our advanced RCM system captures all billable anesthesia revenue. We explore all relevant revenue streams and optimize the contracting and billing of third-party payers.

Clinical Quality Excellence

We have long been recognized for our quality—Somnia was the first anesthesia-only practice management company to be named a Patient Safety Organization (PSO) by the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ).

Our Clinical Quality Excellence (CQE) program brings value to inpatient and outpatient facilities. By measuring more than 50 clinical quality indicators for every patient’s anesthetic experience, it helps us improve patient care.

Ongoing performance measurement is embedded in our culture. In addition to evaluating the performance of our anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists, we track clinical outcomes for our client facilities and benchmark them against data from the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia (SAMBA) as well as each other. And because we believe in the power of data and analytics, we conduct patient, surgeon, and nursing satisfaction surveys when appropriate.
