The 78th annual meeting of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) takes place in Boston, Massachusetts on August 6, 2011 through August 10, 2011.
The annual meeting celebrates the AANA's 80th anniversary with educational workshops and networking opportunities for all attendees. Workshops and lectures include information on pain management, the business side of anesthesia, and multiple clinical topics, such as anesthesia in bariatric surgery, the use of ultrasound technology, and trauma technology.
The keynote speaker for this year's event is air safety analyst, Lieutenant Colonel John Nance. His talk, “Why Hospitals Should Fly: The Ultimate Flight Plan to Patient Safety and Quality Care,” discusses the value of interactive teams in a patient safety system.
Meet Somnia
Representatives from Somnia Anesthesia will be in attendance at this year's meeting and are available to discuss career opportunities for CRNAs in hospitals and surgery centers. We support the AANA and look forward to meeting attendees during the information-packed event. The Somnia booth is #2005.
