Somnia Anesthesia Opens Annual CRNA Of The Year Contest
Somnia Anesthesia, a national anesthesia practice management and perioperative medicine company, joins the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) in celebrating nurse anesthetists across the country in the 21st National CRNA Week, January 19-25.
The week-long celebration highlights the AANA’s public education theme of “Your Comfort. Your Care. WE ARE THERE!,” chosen to educate the general population about the important work that CRNAs do every day, for every patient. It also echoes the fact that each year more than 54,000 CRNAs and student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNAs) provide approximately 49 million anesthetics to patients across the country. National CRNA Week raises awareness among hospital administrators, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and patients about the benefits of having CRNAs deliver care.
To mark National Nurse Anesthetists Week, Somnia Anesthesia will once again recognize an outstanding Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with its 9th annual CRNA of the Year Award. Nominations from across the country are now being accepted through midnight, Friday, February 14. CRNAs may be nominated by a fellow CRNA, an SRNA, physician, academic, or other healthcare professional who works with him/her using Somnia’s online nomination forms (below). The winner will be selected by a panel comprising senior-level healthcare clinicians and administrators and announced on February 18. This year’s award recipient will receive Apple Airpods.
