Adrian Elliott, MD, Appointed Vice Medical Director And Assistant Residency Program Director At St. Joseph’s Medical Center In Stockton, CA

HARRISON, NY – Somnia Inc. (Somnia), a national anesthesia services management company, today announced the appointment of Adrian Elliott, MD, vice medical director and assistant residency program director of Anesthesiology at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton, CA. A proud member of Dignity Health, one of the largest health systems in the nation, St. Joseph’s is the largest hospital and private employer in Stockton.

In his post as Medical Director, Dr. Elliott will be responsible for leading and managing the clinical and fiscal operations of the anesthesiology department and overseeing all requisite quality performance reporting and metrics. As liaison to the Hospital’s executive team, he will represent the department at a variety of C-suite and cross-functional department meetings. He also will play a pivotal role in shaping the Anesthesia Residency Program at St. Joseph’s.

A board-certified anesthesiologist, clinical instructor, and member of numerous anesthesia- and leadership-related professional organizations, he also served on various medical committees. Dr. Elliott has published and presented numerous abstracts and presentations related to the practice of anesthesiology. His deep experience in his field crosses military and civilian settings and spans all surgical disciplines. In addition to numerous military decorations, he is the recipient of a number of academic honors and awards. Recently, he was an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Uniformed Services University.

An academic honors graduate, Dr. Elliott earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in anesthesiology at the Naval Medical Center – Portsmouth. He also was the Vice Chairman for Quality and Patient Safety, Department of Anesthesiology Diversity Officer at Naval Medical Center in San Diego.
