CLIFFORD GEVIRTZ, MD
CLINICAL DIRECTOR, OFFICE-BASED AMBULATORY ANESTHESIA SERVICES
Cliff Gevirtz, MD, holds Board-certifications in anesthesiology and pain medicine has been practicing for more than 30 years. In his role as Clinical Director of Office-based Ambulatory Anesthesia Services at Somnia, he has oversight of the clinical and logistical operations as well as recruiting for all of the surgical offices Somnia serves.
Prior to joining Somnia, Dr. Gevirtz was chief of service at the Bronx VA and Chair of the VISN 2 Pain Committee. Previously, he served as Chief of Service at Metropolitan Hospital Center in Manhattan. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters. He serves as Editor of the Open Journal of Anesthesiology and is a former editor of Topics in Pain Management.
Dr. Gevirtz completed his residencies at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City and his fellowship at Massachusetts General.
