Somnia Announces Winner of 2022 Anesthesiologist of the Year Award
Kenneth Blazier, MD, from Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT wins award
HARRISON, NY – Somnia Anesthesia, an anesthesia practice management company serving hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and office-based facilities nationwide, announced the winner of the 2022 Anesthesiologist of the Year Award: Kenneth Blazier, MD, Charlotte Hungerford Hospital located in Torrington, CT. The award was established in support of Physician Anesthesiologists Week.
Dr. Blazier was nominated by his colleagues for his teamwork, knowledge, and hard work. His colleagues commended Kenneth for being “very instrumental in serving as their interim Chief/Medical Director when Somnia started the new practice at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital this past July. Had Dr. Blazier not stepped up and put in an excessive amount of clinical and administrative time early in the first few months of the transition, it would not have been as successful.”
Dr. Blazier graciously accepted the Anesthesiologist of the Year Award, “I would like to thank my colleagues for this wonderful acknowledgment. After a career spent in private practice, I joined the company in July 2021. Somnia provided us with superb administrative, physical, and emotional support during those trying initial months.
