New Case Study Explores Somnia’s Role at a Southern California Hospital

Somnia Anesthesia has published a new case study that highlights how the organization was able to reshape the anesthesia department at a southern California hospital.

“Providing Anesthesia Leadership and Accountability at a California Hospital” examines Somnia’s role in improving the efficiency, productivity and quality of the hospital’s anesthesia department and helping the facility transition to an anesthesia care team model comprised of both anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists. It also explains how the new anesthesia team overcame the challenges posed by the resistance to change expressed by many of the hospital’s physicians and community members.
