February 26 Webinar Explores the Process of Identifying and Developing Anesthesia Leadership

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (January 30, 2013) — What does it take to become a chief anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist? Somnia Anesthesia and GasWork.com will address this subject for potential anesthesia leaders as they partner for their second in a series of career-focused webinars for anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). Scheduled for Tuesday, February 26 at 6pm EST, Identifying and Succeeding in a Clinical Leadership Role examines the unique set of characteristics that staffing decision makers seek in chief anesthesiologists and CRNAs.

Featuring a chief of anesthesia and C-suite executives involved in hiring and developing clinical anesthesia leaders, the webinar will tackle the topic from two perspectives. First, the presenters will address the skills and experience required to receive consideration for an anesthesia leadership role, including years of experience, educational credentials, and leadership traits. Secondly, registrants will hear from a current chief of anesthesia on the daily challenges he faces as the leader of an anesthesia care team at an acute care hospital in southern California.

The webinar will be moderated by Paul Martin, MD, founder of GasWork and hosted by two presenters. Marina Ring-Rekhlis, is the chief operating officer of Somnia Anesthesia, handling numerous administrative and operational functions for the national anesthesia practice management company, including clinical recruitment. Roy Winston, MD, is the chief of anesthesia at Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia, California, and has over 20 years of clinical anesthesiology experience, including roles as an anesthesia chief in New York, Michigan, and Georgia.
