Barry Friedberg, MD was recently published in the British Journal of Anesthesia discussing the need for heightened anesthesia awareness. Dr. Friedberg suggested the univeral BIS/MEG monitoring of patients under anesthesia will reduce complications associated with overmedicating and undermedicating a patient.
