Dr. Farrar joined Somnia in 2012 and supports numerous strategic clinical initiatives for anesthesia practices managed by the company. He has 25 years of experience as an anesthesiologist as well as 20 years experience with development and implementation of quality systems. Prior to joining Somnia, Dr. Farrar served as Director of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Vice-Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pennsylvania, and as Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Easton Hospital in Easton, PA. He previously worked at AtlantiCare Health System and Jersey City Medical Center, where he served as Vice Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology and Director of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology. Dr. Farrar also served as senior staff anesthesiologist at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where he was a member of both the cardiothoracic and critical care divisions. Dr. Farrar received his medical degree from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and his law degree from the University of Detroit/Mercy. He completed his internship at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey and his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in cardiovascular anesthesia and critical care medicine at Loyola University of Chicago.
