Kaweah Delta Medical Center

Located in the charming city of Visalia, Kaweah Delta Medical Center is a 581-bed regional medical center distinguished by nursing magnet status, an award-winning Emergency Department, and a highly ranked cardiovascular program.

More than 8,200 surgeries are performed at the hospital each year, in addition to more than 460 cardiac surgeries. The hospital’s maternity program manages 4,300 deliveries annually, including nearly 1,500 C-section births.  Kaweah Delta is recently expanded its maternity, emergency and cardiac services to better serve the community.

Our anesthesia care team, comprised of both anesthesiologists and CRNAs , provides anesthesia care in the operating rooms, cardiovascular program and obstetrics. Led by a medical director, the team works collaboratively under a medical supervision model. CRNAs perform their own cases.

Known as the “crown jewel” of California’s San Joaquin Valley, Visalia (pop. 127,000) offers the unique combination of affordable housing, an easy commute to work, a friendly community with a small-town feel, many urban amenities, and ample indoor and outdoor recreation opportunities. Visalia is located in Tulare County, an area is known for its warm, dry summers and moderate winters, and enjoys an average of just 26 days of precipitation per year. The city is just a three-hour drive from Los Angeles.

Visalia has eight residential neighborhoods, each of which offers its own housing and business opportunities. The city contains a wide array of neighborhoods, including agricultural areas, residential areas inside miniature oak woodlands, and business districts. About 60% of homes in Visalia are owned by their residents, while the rest are rented.
