Kaweah Delta Medical Center in California’s Central Valley seeks an Anesthesiology Residency Program Director.
Kaweah Delta Medical Center has successfully begun ACGME accredited residency programs in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Psychiatry and now added Anesthesia to this group. This is a rare opportunity to build a legacy in Anesthesiology and develop and shape a new academic program while working in a facility with diverse pathology, an annual volume of 18,000+ anesthetics and 5000 deliveries, with virtually all sub-specialty areas represented. The Department of Anesthesiology has bright and enthusiastic physicians and clinicians with passion and ability equal to the task ahead.
The successful candidate will have exceptional administrative, motivational, and organizational skills and enjoy teaching. They must be active in academic medicine in the areas of medical education, clinical care and research and embrace the latest best practices with regard to education and learning. The individual chosen will be the founder for a newly accredited community-based university-affiliated residency in Anesthesiology.
Applicants for the Program Director position must be board certified in Anesthesiology and must possess or be able to obtain a California medical license. Applicant will also poses Regional Fellowship training. This is a unique opportunity for any faculty member to climb the ladder of success to achieve a fulfilling and influential academic position.
