St. Barnabas Hospital is seeking a full-time anesthesiologist
St. Barnabas Hospital serves a diverse patient population in New York City. Established in 1866, the hospital is a member of the St. Barnabas Health Care Network, a community-based system serving the Bronx and surrounding neighborhoods. The hospital’s eight state-of-the-art operating suites provide care for more than 11,000 general, urological, gynecological, vascular, pediatric, and neurosurgical patients.
St. Barnabas has two endoscopy rooms with a combined case volume of 3500 procedures a year. Pediatric cases range from routine, tubes and tonsils (ENT), to complex traumas. Cardiac surgery is not offered at the hospital. A high-risk obstetrical service manages more than 2500 live births each year, 60% with epidurals. The hospital has state-designated centers for stroke and AIDS care.
St. Barnabas Hospital recently completed major renovation and construction projects, adding a spacious hospital lobby, full-service ambulatory surgery center, operating suite, inpatient short-term hospice unit, and attractive gateways to a garden-like campus.
